I'm looking for damage reports now.
CNN is reporting little major damage; some mudslides and cracked roads, and pictures knocked off of walls. Luckily this centered in a very lightly populated area.
Trust me as someone who rode out a 6.7, that 7.9 must have been a doozey. I'm sure my fellow Californian Coot concurs.
Dan, I do not envy those of you who choose the left coast on which to live - I happen to like having ground that remains nice and solid under my feet!!! Oh, sure, we get a little hurricane or two once in a while, but to me that's far preferable!!
The Northridge quake was one helluva ride 7.9 must would have been crazy. Here's more from the Anchorage Daily News
