Why the AT&T / Time Warner merger is bad bad bad!

    Now.. Imagine if AT&T gets their hands on Time Warner and is able to collect THAT data and add to their database.

    This merger should never go through. Unfortunately, SCOTUS has already stated that meta data is similar to viewing an address on the outside of an envelop, so it's doubtful we'll find anyone that's able to make a rights violation stick. However, there should be some serious questions on how law enforcement is permitted to gain access without a valid warrant.

    Disturbing.

    A question that is slightly off-topic: I found "NSA Surveillance" in the list of networks that were online in my neighborhood about a week ago. Was that a joke? I'd have thought NSA would be more covert.
