I have been using Comodo for the past couple of years. I upgraded it Thursday and since then, if I have to restart the machine, I get a dialog box that says, "Comodo won't start. Run diagnostics?" I say yes, then Comodo starts and the diagnostics a couple of minutes later says it didn't find any problems...

Typically, Windows Firewall is all you need. There are third party "addons" that allow you to fine tune it easier.

Spending oodles of cash on a third party solution really isn't necessary.

Edit - In the past, I've used the firewall control from these folks: Windows 10 Firewall Control: Sphinx Software

They have a free version that works fairly well and allows you to fine tune the Windows firewall without having to drill down and find the settings within Windows itself.
