Virtual Weapons Are Turning Teen Gamers Into Serious Gamblers

I see some serious scrambling being done soon by Valve's lawyers if this gets picked up by DAs around the US. Can't believe they'd let things get out of hand like this.

    It just keeps getting better.

Steam warns users against gambling site after YouTube stars discovered as owners

I do find it strange that the various DA offices and law enforcement agencies have been extremely silent regarding all this.

The first salvo has been fired.

Valve says it's not responsible for 'CS:GO' gambling

Quite honestly, I don't see how Valve can maintain innocence in all this, especially as their marketplace provides income to the company. And since the marketplace also sells these "skins" that can be used on the various gambling sites, I see them getting the smackdown rather quickly from the various state DAs.

In other words, we're making too much money off illicit behavior and it will hit our bottom line if we take a hard stance on this.
