    U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill on Friday abruptly announced his resignation, which a spokeswoman said would become effective "in the next few weeks."

    With this and Pitts resignation we may have Bush administration realizing they need a better economic team.

    their resignation was asked for, so basically they were fired. with the rebublican takeover last month I think king George has realized that if real progress isn't seen on the economy and other domestic issues come 2004 the emperor will have no clothes.
