To Rinse or Not...

    I use olive oil in the water, shock in the colander and rinse that shit, it never sticks.

    I'm not allowed to cook. Not only because of my dead leg from my cooking, but my lack of being able to taste. I eat almost anything, and when people don't believe me, I tell them, "When I was doing the SEAL support thing, I ate things that my eating them cause the spirit to leave the food" (i.e., it's still alive).

    13 years of industrial-grade cooking by the Navy kind of ruined culinary delights for me. Layered tastes and presentation were not any priority of our Mess Specialists. One ship I had to put out kitchen fires because the cooks burned water. Twice.
