Hersh could give a rat's ass how people view him. I don't think he's a literary God but he WAS right about Nixon pretending to be a psychopath so that North Vietnam would be thinking they were dealing with a madman with nukes.

If this is the truth on par with Nixon, we are in a deep doo doo as a country.

ShinyTop I know what is right or wrong!

I don't know the truth about the Bin Laden death. Unfortunately I am not disposed to dismiss stories that accuse politicians of being politicians. Even at the cost of trust by other nations or our own military.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.

    Finally read this - yikes.

    If true, so many falsehoods:

No courier who led us to bin Laden.
No terrorist operations being directed by bin Laden.
    No firefight at the compound.
No resistance by bin Laden - he was executed.
    No using women as shields.
    No burial at sea.
No data on bin Laden's whereabouts gathered from enhanced interrogations.
    ...and much more.

What I don't get is the need to make up any excuse for killing bin Laden. Why not just say that we executed him as punishment for 9/11?

Precisely! Everybody was busy propping up everybody else's lies. That term "enhanced interrogation" just kills me! Talk about not calling a spade a spade!

Easy, same reasons we have no assassination of leaders orders. It's all BS, of course.
