    One of those few articles from NYT that they should focus on more but don't.

    Anyway, I can say anecdotally that this is true. When I went through my marriage breakup, there were times when I thought my heart would just die, physically, not metaphorically. Odd feeling as I didn't have issues prior and I've waved that off constantly. But I bet there's definitely something to it.

    Divorce or death of a spouse is way up at the top of the stressometer (I made up that word, and my spellchecker is spitting nails). Stress is so bad for the heart that sometimes I have to skip reading the day's news.
