A great read just popped in my news feed and it nails several points that everyone is ignoring.

When the media withholds facts and presents a "half story" in order to bolster their own ideology, everyone loses. I fear that we've already gone past the point of no return and the media will continue to be an institution that cannot be trusted.

    Good read.

I had a similar discussion with my son right after the election; people want to hear news that supports their beliefs and want to ignore news that does not.

The social equivalent of scientific confirmation bias.
