    I'm going to give this book a shot, as this is ground zero for so much of the bullshit that we have to put up with today in the Middle East, if not beyond. Although I have a good general knowledge of what happened, it's nice to see a book that is more a political history rather than a military one.

    I am about half way through Six Days of War, about the June 1967 war. I plan to find a good book on the 1973 war next. It is unbelievable how wars start and are conducted.

    @ the OP yeah that's always the way I saw it. The partitioning of the ME was the genesis that planted the seeds of what we see today.
