    Love the first comment.

The house I grew up in was an old Sears and Roebuck home that was hauled up to the building site by horse and wagon from the railroad depot in town. My dad still has one of the boards that has the Sears name and model number of the house on it from when we remodeled in the 1970s.

Although the family doesn't own it any longer, it's still there, too.

I wonder what the "Pre War" feature is...

Oh, I read some more: "Pre-war buildings modernized by Philippe Starck."

    Um, which war?

We stayed in a Sears catalog house this Summer on the outer banks, and we found out first hand how good it was when hurricane Arthur's eye went directly over us. Despite 100+ mph winds the house did not creak or groan at all throughout the storm. I was very impressed with it.
