Yah, me too! - I am building a new box. This part rocks [IMG]
    • So I am asking does anyone recommend a good audio card that offers DVD digital-out please??
I am disappointed this feature is not included with some popular yet very expensive HW, say Creative Labs Audigy2 for just one example.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
    best wishes, Ugly

I honestly can't say I know of anything, but I do know this. Make sure you get the digital audio connector for the back of the DVD-ROM, not the standard Analog one. Otherwise digital-out is useless...

    Good point Techie.
What does one of those thingies look like?
    Thanks, Ugly

    See this link. http://www.turtlebeach.com/site/products/santacruz/specs.asp

"Immersive 3D gaming and DVD audio with 2, 4 or 6-speakers and headphones for home-theater surround sound quality. Connect to external Dolby Digital decoder with S/PDIF interface."

I own this card and although I've never used the above functionality I can say every other feature ROCKS !

    DIGIFIRE 7.1

    I settled on the <a href="http://us.hercules.com/products/showpage.php?p=58&b=0&f=1">DIGIFIRE 7.1</a>
If this does not work out then the TB SC is next.
    Thanks all, Mid, etc. :)
    best wishes,
