[LINUX] Smart move or more delusions of grandeur?

Me? I'm betting on the delusional part.

Seriously? While I seriously doubt Windows 8 is going to be a contender in the smartphone market, I don't see iOS or Android shaking in their boots over the announcement. Then there's the privacy issues that have been recently aired. It seems that is going to be an ongoing issue, too.

    (Emphasis mine)

Delusions of grandeur? I think so. I've maintained that Mark Shuttleworth has been delusional for years. His continued vision that Ubuntu is the cure for what ails the technical world will continue to be a source of amusement.

Same, had an argument on this yesterday. I don't get it, and it's a really stupid move.

Agreed, it's going to be as good as Amazon Fire phone.

Staff, projects shed as Ubuntu maker Canonical tries to lure investors

What is surprising is the growing popularity of Ubuntu as a server OS.
