    Truly a sad loss.

Charles Krauthammer, conservative commentator and Pulitzer Prize winner, dead at 68

A voice of reason in the vast sea of partisanship. His passing will create a huge hole when a voice of reason is desperately needed.

The most gifted and effective intellectual political commentator of our time. The one guy on the panel no matter the venue that no one else tried to talk over or interrupt. Despite his strong beliefs, impeccable logic, backed by a seemingly endless wealth of knowledge that in combination could be a weapon with malice, the man was as an upright decent and kind individual one could find. He never made it personal and never was rude or disrespectful to anyone. He was always genuine. A rare trait anywhere today.

Stealing that line because it's perfect.

Well said, Arc. I also admired his handling of his disability. He just stepped around it and kept on going.
