With all the protests, Mr. Clark is in the news again. The former U.S. Attorney General's website has info on how you too can join in the protests across the nation, as they are the chief organizers of the events.

For those wondering what type of persons are likely to organize protests like the ones we're seeing, and think these protests are similar to the protests during the Vietnam war (they're not), there is a good article from 1999 about Ramsey at Salon which will give you some insight.

I won't list some of his more popular acomplishments (they're in the article) but Ramsey Clark is to the peace movement like David Duke is to the Republican party.

For some reason, many level headed liberal thinkers refuse to distance themselves from this guy, which is amazing. I want to know why that is. Read the article. Why is this guy still tolerated in the mainstream press?

From the IAC page
Just about anything that starts with the phrase "The People's" is highly suspect and reminiscint of Pravda 20 years ago....which is oddly about the time Ramsey Clark's EEG flatlined.

Oh, this is good. I went to the Ramsey web site and what do I find? This objective piece of journalism from Mumia Abu-Jamal, convicted cop killer.

"Let me quote from William Pitt's "War on Iraq" on that:

The case for war against Iraq has not been made. This is a fact. It is doubtful in the extreme that Saddam Hussein has retained any functional aspect of the chemical, nuclear, and biological weapons programs so thoroughly dismantled by the United Nations weapons inspectors who worked tirelessly in Iraq for seven years. This is also a fact. The idea that Hussein has connections to fundamentalist Islamic terrorists is laughable-- he is a secular leader who has worked for years to crush fundamentalist Islam within Iraq, and if he were to give weapons of any kind to Al Qaeda, they would use those weapons on him first. [p. 10]

Think about this the next time you hear media reports about Iraq working with Al Qaeda. They know that the ruling clique in Iraq is rooted in the socialist Ba'ath party, and they hate him and his cronies almost as much as they hate the Americans. Further, as the administration strains to justify their Iraq adventure, with a cowed Congress and a complicit media, it will be harder and harder for such voices as these to be heard, or found. Pray that the prediction in the Pitt/Ritter book doesn't come true:

An attack on Iraq could bring about a wider world war America cannot afford, and that a vast majority of Americans do not desire. [p. 10]

At less than 100 pages "War on Iraq" is an easy read. Before Armageddon is unleashed, it's hoped that many Americans study this issue soon."

Oh, yes. this media darling hoodwinked the entire Hollywood set and their ilk. Some choose to forget. I have not:

Ah yes, Pravda (which ironically means the "Truth). The People's Party. The People's Working Union. The People's Truth and Reconciliation.

Why is Wesley Cook (Mumia Abu-Jamal) still alive to spew his hate and foul smelling hypocracy?? Why are his words prominently displayed on Ramsey Clark's website?

I guess some email needs to be sent to the national office of The Fraternal Order of Police to see if they are aware of Ramsey Clark's association with a convicted killer of a brother officer...

More on Abu-Jamal can be found in this thread...

BDD...
