Ok, I've got one more.... (I lost count)

And I know that most of you probably wondered this too at some point.

When you see the chat messages for the [3. LookingForGroup] channel, how in the blue-ball-blazes do you GET to that channel to put in your own requests and not have to use /say ?

    I've tried /join /3., /join /LookingForGroup, and /join /LFG...

  2. Brazbit

    Brazbit Nah... It can't be.

Well I typed /1 to get into the Genel channel so I would guess /3 would get you into the LFG channel. But you said you tried that. odd....

I tried the /3 all by itself and I got the message saying type /help for help or /chat for chat help....

/3 would have been my guess, too. In any case I usually whisper to the person looking for party members, so I can't claim to be speaking from experience, though as you know /# certainly works for channel 1.

Frodo Lives Luke, I am NOT your father!

    1/ = General Chat
    2/ = Trade Chat
    3/ = Local Defense
    4/ = Looking for Group

Also, make sure you have all the chats enabled in the chat option tab.

I'd have sworn it always says when you get to a new area "joining channel [3. LookingForGroup] [name of area]

So you are saying I need to try the number then the "/"?

  7. Frodo Lives

Frodo Lives Luke, I am NOT your father!

    Let me change that:

    /1 = General Chat
/2 = Was Trade, don't know why it doesn't work for me...
    /3 = Local Defense
    /4 = Looking For Group
    /5 = World Defense

    Ok.

Thanks, I'll give it all another shot in about 4 hours.

I have a couple of tough ones to finish up in Duskwood (a 36 elite and a 33 elite) and I need to do a shout-out for some help on the LFG channel. Cylith an I did some serious damage in Duskwood last night, and he logged right before I ran into stitches, that I had caused to spawn by accepting a quest.

Someone else ganked him before I got to him and missed out on the drop all together. :banghead:

Ok, here's what I found last night....

If I try to join the LFG channel from the Guild channel, it fails.

If I go from /guild to /say first then /3 (for me #3 is LFG) I get right in.

    Weird.

    Brazbit Nah... It can't be.

OK.... I will second that.

The best was when I was asking about this in /guild, and we were working out different things to try..

    Frodo says,
    I then say..
I could almost hear Frodo screaming
    at his monitor

    Another noob-category question:

Now that I'm an expert alchemist (but still a noob, go figure), do I have to go to the artisan alchemist for new recipes or can I still buy them from expert alchemists?

I'm away from the game for a couple of days (arrggghhhh), but I seem to remember hitting the required alchemy experience level to buy a new recipe I had my eyes on, but it wasn't available from the expert in SW. It might also be the case that I didn't remember the required experience level correctly and showed up 5 points short.

Nope, only the higher level trainer will grant new recipes.

Thanks - that Teleport to Darnassus spell at level 30 is going to come in handy. :)

Thank your lucky stars you are not an enchanter. Their artisan is at an instance zone in Badlands.
