CBC provides a prime example of what's wrong with reporting today with this rather insulting headline:

Future Shop stores lost out to the lazy, fulfilled online shoppers

Yep. The reason a Canadian store is closing is because shoppers are now lazy and can't be bothered to go into the store. Of course, it doesn't matter that the employees of the store are generally clueless about the products they sell and you can usually find those products elsewhere at a cheaper price. Nope, it's all because shoppers are lazy because they do their own research and buy elsewhere on line.

Future Shop stores lost out to fulfilled online shoppers - Business - CBC News

It should be noted that Future Shop is owned by Best Buy, and generally has the same expertise as those who work at Best Buy. In other words, there is no expert advice to be had from the store.

This kind of reporting is beyond wrong. It's misleading, false, and shows everything that's wrong with many media outlets today.

Years ago Best Buy carried Apple products. They did so poorly at displaying Macintosh computers and software that there was something of a flurry of online reporting on it, where Mac aficionados posted pictures of crappy Mac displays, crashed computers, etc. Their "expert advice from staff" was to tell everyone to avoid Apple products because those little retard techs didn't know how to operate them. Apple became highly aware, pulled their products from Best Buy, and took matters into their own hands. Hence, the Apple stores.

Now Apple is the biggest company on the planet.

Wouldn't Best Buy like to call a mulligan on that stupid shit? Those Apple Stores could have been inside every Best Buy across the planet, had they given a proper shit. They didn't, and they still don't. Best Buy sucks, has been supplanted by tech superstores like Fry's Electronics. Nothing else to say about it.

I've never been inside a Best Buy store or even bought anything from them online. Looks like I didn't miss anything.

Gee, I wonder why they changed the title? It now reads:

Future Shop stores lost out to fulfilled online shoppers

Reading the comments... wow, what a horrible title and article and people are coming out in droves in bashing them.

Which is surprising as the CBC is so far left, it makes the NYT look like FOX. Generally, the comments are foaming about the heartless corporations and how it's all Harper's fault.
