CBC provides a prime example of what's wrong with reporting today with this rather insulting headline: Future Shop stores lost out to the lazy, fulfilled online shoppers Yep. The reason a Canadian store is closing is because shoppers are now lazy and can't be bothered to go into the store. Of course, it doesn't matter that the employees of the store are generally clueless about the products they sell and you can usually find those products elsewhere at a cheaper price. Nope, it's all because shoppers are lazy because they do their own research and buy elsewhere on line. Future Shop stores lost out to fulfilled online shoppers - Business - CBC News It should be noted that Future Shop is owned by Best Buy, and generally has the same expertise as those who work at Best Buy. In other words, there is no expert advice to be had from the store. This kind of reporting is beyond wrong. It's misleading, false, and shows everything that's wrong with many media outlets today.
