    LissaKay Oh ... Really???

    Oooh! Chills chills chills!

I first encountered Rahel on my blog ... she left a tagboard comment about my kitties. She came by way of Lair's Carnival of the Cats one time when I had a cat blogging entry. I visited her blog then and read a bit ... interesting stuff there! I also made note of her CD and meant to return to check it out later ... and we all know how that goes. Lair now has her CDBaby site on his BlogAds, which I do read regularly (I swear I must have been a Jew in a previous life ... heh) and I finally checked it out. Wow ...

I must dig in the couch for loose change so I can get this CD!

For some reason, and maybe it's just me, but songs in Yiddish/Hebrew are just so... I don't know they just have more spirit about them, more "umph".

I mean you take Ha'Tikva and go from there. ;)

Really slick. I like how it has a time for FedEx and I even had the option to pay via PayPal. Not bad. :)

    Oh this is cute. :)

Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure
it was in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money
    can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved 'Bon Voyage!' to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Wednesday, September 22nd.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as 'Customer of the Year'. We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

    Thank you once again,

    Derek Sivers, president, CD Baby

Yah well, CD Baby aside, this music is just...I want to say haunting, but it doesn't go that far...I want to say blissful, but it doesn't go that far. I want to say 'reflective', but that just seems so insufficient. I'm on my 5th play, and I'm looking for more.

Someone pleae tell me tell me what it is about this music that an atheist gentile finds so soothing? :)

Part of the allure of that type of music (and her music specifically). I honestly don't know but it touches/scratches something you never thought you had.
