    I remember when he emerged from the jungle in 1974. It's hard for me to imagine the degree of loyalty to a superior that this situation would have entailed. The Japanese must have had a very successful brainwashing program going on in those days.

    I hope they had some back-pay for him, lol.

    Poor guy. A major portion of his life wasted, because of his country's aggression.
