Head to head, does the Apple HomePod really sound the best?

This article was posted at Yahoo Finance on Feb. 10, 2018. Rather than quote it I would like to describe it. It begins with the writer attending the introduction of Apple's HomePod entree into the smart speaker competition. Apple pitted their HomePod ($35-) against the Sonos One ($200), Google Home Max ($400), and Amazon's Echo Plus ($150). ... It's interesting that listeners said the HomePod sounded the best. But the article's author (David Pogue, Apple Finance's tech critic) began to wonder. Was the test even fair? Each of the speakers was connected by a different means: Bluetooth (Amazon Echo), Ethernet (Sonos), input miniplug (Google Home), and AirPlay (HomePod), which is Appleā€™s Wi-Fi-based transmission system.

I think you will find the article well written and the author's engineering and blind test were very well written. Which speaker won? Read the article and find out.
