    Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just love this article. I'm sending it to my sister in Cape Breton. She's a piper with two of her children also pipers. I'll put it on my Facebook timeline too. Now this story hits home in another way. They mention him training near Fort William. That is bang in the middle of where four of my ancestral lines are from. The area around Arisaig was very active during the war, with all the big houses taken over and filled with SOE agents in training. The terrain is very rugged and beautiful, and until the early 20th century, they didn't even have that Road to the Isles. We were on it in 1999. It was still a one-lane road then, 40 miles of terror between Mallaig and Fort William. I honestly don't know how we survived it!
