Extinctions may not be as bad as some are claiming

    The sixth mass genesis? New species are coming into existence faster than ever thanks to humans

    Hot damn! Someone gets it!

    Of course, there will be those who will cry heresy over such claims. Heaven forbid someone or something upset their narrow little view of how things work.

    All I know is that 99 percent of all species that ever lived on Earth are estimated to be extinct. The grand total is over five billion species. Estimates on the number of Earth's current species range from 10 million to 14 million, of which about 1.2 million have been documented and over 86 percent have not yet been described.

    I'm an animal lover, ( specifically and mostly our fellow mammals.) And there are certain favorites for me that are in danger of extinction. Nevertheless, as history has taught us it is in most cases a normal thing.
