I read that a while ago and it is a fascinating article.

What I found really interesting is how they are still being sued to turn over what they do have. Looks like someone still wants to resurrect the project.

I find that funny... The tech has moved on so fast that by the time you win the source codes, it will be irrelevant.

    Exactly.

It's not about the source code, but rather the Intellectual Property rights to the name. There are enough fans out there that if a new Duke Nukem game were created, the sales would be enough to cement the franchise for future games.

Wow, that is an amazing story about how an inept person in power can create such damage.

    And now it's back?

Obviously, I'll believe it when I see it.

Yeah, but by another publisher. This is, indeed, a good case study of what not to do.

As someone already said at the other site:

"Practical nuclear fusion is always 30 years away.
Fast non-volatile memory tech to replace RAM and HD is always 10 years away.
Duke Nukem Forever is forever 6 months away.
Kudos for Gearbox in keeping the myth alive."

When I have the playable computer version in my hands then will I believe the tale and not before.

    Yet another trailer...

Something tells me they just sit around making trailers rather than the actual game.

I'm just hoping it doesn't end up being another Daikatana.

Release dates have been moved to June. May 3 was another disappointment.

I hope they're enjoying their ice cream in Hades.

I wonder if it will come out for Mac? If not, I might just have to finally break down and get that Xbox with Kinect. ;)

Sounds like some original fans might like it, but generally a negative review.

Hey, what's not to like? :D

I don't expect it to be anything more than entertainment and a flashback to the early days of gaming for me.

That being said, I can't wait to go pick up my reserved copy tomorrow. :)

I guess one reviewer was expecting it to be The King's Speech of first person shooters.

Been playing it for the last hour on the 360. So far. It's OK.
