    Now this just beats it all; the DPRK finally gets some indications it might get what it wants, and it starts asking for more. While a large part of the media is blaming Bush for making this mess even worse, I don't think anyone can overlook Dear Leader's heavy-handedness in it any longer.

    One good thing is that it does play into the ROK's hand--maybe. Present leadership aside, the ROK is full of hawks who will likely drive a hard bargain; the thing is, they'll only release the "soft" aspects of the deal to the public. That's their way. I'm hoping they communicate whatever deal they strike in totem to the US, in order to avoid any public misunderstandings.
