I think this is the best way. 7 bucks is fair via paypal. If you want to send a check/MO, you can just PM me that you will and I will put up my own $$ in the meantime. Once we get enough donations, we can vote on a basket. ;)

If the link below gives you errors use my paypal email: leonkeylin@yahoo.com

    Further Update on Bob

He is no longer in Lenox Hill Hospital but has been transferred to a Rehabilitation Hospital. The following PM was sent by Bob to the recipient and it is my understanding that the redacted information was done at Bob's request,

    'Hi mel;

Thanks for calling. You even managed to reassure my wife,

I am now at ***** Rehab. Institute, at ********* learning to walk, etc . Be home soon, maybe, and will contact you then.

    Bob xx'

I have been accused of several things during this matter by certain members and my final comment on that subject is I have walked Bob's walk and they have not. I am specifically excluding Leon from this.

This has hit me hard as I have flashed back to my traumatic time which I still face every day. I have now developed new symptoms for which I will be tested that essentially have one of three outcomes- it is due to increased severe muscle spasms/partial seizure, my shunt has either partially or completely blocked and I will need a revision the thought of which scares me out of my mind for that is when the adventures started back in 1994, or it could be that my syrinx has started to become unstable.Since it is inoperable according to one of the world experts on syringomyelia, there would be nothing that could be done and I would simply decline at some rate until either the inevitable happens or I request or do myself the surcease of the final needle.

I have walked in Bob's shoes and will in a sense do so for the rest of my life. I have made my feelings for him plain in another thread here. I wish him Godspeed and may he return home as soon as possible and post whenever he can.

I wanted to pass this along so you could inquire from either his wife or Lenox Hill where he was sent.

As a side effect of the Duragesic, I have developed among other things a bad case of insomnia and was up for over 36 hours before finally crashing. I think I need to be away for awhile and concentrate on my health. I am sorry for taking up so much of this post on Bob with my trivial concerns. I believe Leon and Martin have my e-mail address if anyone wishes to contact me.

Even with all the family squabbles, this site and its members are still the finest, IMO.

I spoke to Bob and his wife. He sounds a little garbled, but I was able to understand everything he said. He is in good (great spirits actually) health, spoke a little about his progress.

He mentioned he didn't need anything (even when I tried to intice him with a few Republican reads! ;)). Joked a little with him and he doesn't mind visitors at all so will be making that trip there probably tonight or tomorrow.

Donations for the basket are still on.

This site is the absolute best I've ever used. I use them all the time now. ProFlowers.com The roses, at least, seem to be bigger and bolder bouquets and they are fresher and last longer.

    Funny you should mention that.

Prior to Valentines, mrRT sends me a link to that and says, the same thing you've said. So I give them a shot, and without a doubt, the roses my wife got, were just incredible. It came via JFK (not FTD type where they call the local flower shop and you get it from there) and I truly feel it came straight from where these flowers were grown. The smell, the stems, the amount of time they lasted were tremendous.

I was reluctant to put my choice first, for the fear that someone will whack me and say, "HEY! I have a better one!"

So if you do, speak up!!! If not, take a look around the arrangements and let's pick a really kick ass one!
