This year FAO Schwarz is selling Lingerie Barbie, a Barbie doll "that exudes a flirtatious attitude in her heavenly merry widow bustier ensemble accented with intricate lace and matching peekaboo peignoir."

Uhm, excuse me? FAO classifies this toy as "Ages 14 and up".

Look, if these types of dolls were around when I was a kid, I think I'd be an avid doll player/collector.

But seriously folks, is this the continuation of the bottom line, whatever sells, cut the morals and ethics, just get on with the black no matter what the cost is to the families, societies?

IN case you thought I was kidding, see for yourselves...

Sometimes I think the manufacturing industry has just gone too far in the quest for the almighty dollar.

What's next, Ken in leather and leopardskin jockstraps?

(...errr, well, I guess they'll have to give him a package to put in it first...)

ShinyTop I know what is right or wrong!

I don't know what you think you are hiding from kids when you have those Victoria Secret commercials on TV. My wife eyes me whenever they are on lest I show too much enthusiasm.

I have always loathed the "Princess of Plastic "
but in this case, I think they have gone all the
way around the bend.

This also touches on the sport of "trophy wives"
and all the immorality associated with that.

What is not shown is how her "use them for what
you can get" looks got her in the later in life.

In the interest of fairness and honesty, I now present

Read the sad truth about her here.

Aha -- a little searching found a pic of the Bavarian Bondage Barbie.

On a related note, Mattel sues people who make fun of their star a lot, and loses a lot. Seems that a lot of people like to create their own version s of Barbie.

Found at:

"The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in July said the song "Barbie Doll" that pokes fun of the doll with lyrics such as "I'm a blond bimbo girl in a fantasy world" was an artistic expression, not a violation of the company's trademark rights. In its ruling, the court said that Mattel was "advised to chill." Last year, a judge also dismissed a Mattel lawsuit against a Utah artist who made photographs of a naked Barbie in a tortilla, a blender or other kitchen equipment as part of a "Food Chain Barbie" series."

". Pitt would have violated Mattel's copyright if the company had a similar "S&M Barbie," the judge ruled."

I am sooooo looking forward to Mattels Version.
