    Excerpt from BBC story:

Poachers in the city of Khabarovsk, in the Russian Far East, had plundered 300 kilograms (650 pounds) of red caviar from local salmon.

Their task now was to smuggle it to Krasnodar, seven time zones to the west. But how?

The solution they came up with was inventive, if a little macabre.

They packed the caviar into a coffin and sped to the airport. There the casket was checked onto a regular passenger flight.

Unfortunately they were caught -- the coffin started to leak in flight and it was noticed by authorities. Oh well, even good ideas sometimes do not work out.

650 pounds in one coffin! Who did they say was inside, a sumo wrestler?

It takes time to acquire the taste. Hated it when I was a kid, probably because it was so abundant, but love it now like there's no tomorrow.

Used to hate Sushi also. :)

I tried Sushi as a kid. It was alright, but my dad hates it so we never buy it.

Again, it takes time. And with all of the different flavors and addons it can be quite tasty! ;)

Actually it was on first try that I liked it.

Thing is, I'm not that picky as far as food is concerned. If it's edible and, in most cases cooked, then I'll probably enjoy it. :)

    Sushi cooked?!?!

You guys need to hang with Leon more often. We need to go out on the town.

Of course, Mr. Moore will HAVE to come, he has all the secrets to other cuisine.

Actually, many Russians themselves despise the thing, they feed it to Americans who visit and save money by eating fried potatoes with bunny meat. :)

Caviar is only edible when served on fresh blini and washed down with chilled vodka -- lots of chilled vodka to disguise the fact that you are eating something disgusting: salted, raw fish eggs.

Leon, interesting!! Give me fried potatoes and bunny food any day!

But Bob, I hate vodka, too, and even if I didn't, drinking it in that fashion would render me unconscious long before I finished the hated caviar. :nut: I'm strictly a wine drinker.

I think that's how Bob got his last wife.

OH MAN! I outdid myself! I finally was able to give Bob a "good wet one!"

Never again question my wit, you you... you... ;)

    Allene:

It is best to be at least half unconscious when eatring caviar, that way you do not notice how vile it is.

    Leon:

I would never question your wit. Well -- maybe a little bit.

    Caviar?

Never had it, and I think it may be one of the few foods I feel I will never experiment with.

Caviar? Tried it, thought it was nasty. Sushi on the other hand is delicious :) And is there any other way to drink vodka except chilled?

Sorry, Aria. I have always found Sushi to be nasty, to. I have only eaten it when I also have had too much to drink.
