May I interject and plead not to use ANYthing with a .ru extension?

Not until another 10 years or so.

A lot of the links inthis site are NOT. ru.

But I'll try to find .us only for my possible next posts

Claire, it was not directed to you only, it was a general message.

.ru are Russian sites and the ratio of exploits vs. anything positive is so low that it's not worth it. You can state any other country, but preferably Western Europe/US.

    NOOOO! Claire, please no.

I value your input a lot, especially when it comes to non-updates.

.ru sites are bad, at least in my experience (and heck, I can read their web sites and their NG's and know how much scheming they do). Ebay, to this day will not allow anyone register with an .ru email.

Moscow Times does not try to run software from your browser in order to make it safer. ;)

Excues me. Leon. Your message was not very explicit. Seemed to be plea not to recognize existence of anything with .ru.

Well, I apologize if it was ambigious.

Claire posted a site where one can test their browsers, their security. The .ru jumped at me because I have stories if anyone wants to listen as to how crafty the Ruskies can be.

    It's a hint, a nudge, nothing more.

I am sorry I've upset the entire forum today.
