You know I think I messed up the math. 40 = recall is ok. 47 = dump the dude. 47-40 = 7 votes to dump the dude despite opposition to recall. (my keyboard refuses to type the letter between f and h... sorry, have to choose words I can type)
He won by a slightly larger margin then he did originally despite 16 months of organizing against him by the public employee unions. That's an epic fail on the part of the union by anyone's math.
Walker has too much political baggage becaue of the recall dog and pony show. Obama has a lead in Wisconsin right now and many of those who voted for Walker in the recall in the exit poll indicated a preference for Obama. Paul Ryan, Christie, Rubio in that order. Ryan could help Romney steal Wisconsin and other key swing states. Rubio is really popular, sort of the rock star darling, but when the rubber meets the road his youth and inexperience may be too much of a liability for VP even in spite of his many positives. Rubio also knows that if he sits this one out depending upon the outcome in November he will have a real shot at president in four to eight years. Christie is too outspoken and not the kind of guy that would be happy in a supporting role and that would show. I think he both enjoys and is seeks to be a leader who within his power relishes or wants the final word. He has flashes of anger to often and in the political arena especially in terms of getting votes anger doesn't play well, no matter how understandable or justified it might be. Plus his New Jersey/ NYC personality, as opposed to ideology doesn't play well for garnishing votes except on the East Coast generally north of the Mason Dixon line. That is generally true for all NYC/New Jersey stereo types.
Union shills still not over it and trying to make it as if the victory was marginal. How fucking adorable. LOL!
Something new that I've missed in their propaganda? I mean other than what they came up with in the couple of days after the failed recall. By the way, separate but related topic. People should not mix up liberals and especially far-left liberals with union members. The three may be close to identical on the issue and agreement on the value of unions but on a national broad based issues unions have substantial numbers of moderates and conservatives. There are plenty of union member nationally that will vote for Romney. They may or may not be the majority but they are still a substantial number regardless of the split.
Kluge, you need to look at a bigger picture. Walker won his first election by 5%. He won this one by 7%. That's "only" a 2-point gain, but turnout was much higher this time, so he got more votes than he did before. That's where the idea of a major win comes in. That, and the exit polls that said most Wisconsinites didn't want the recall to begin with. Too bad that wasn't an option.
Oh. My. Gosh. A HS friend of mine who is now an employee of the State of Ohio wrote this on his wall in response to a photo of a portable sign. The sign said "Wisconsin: home of Ed Gein, Jeffrey Dahmer, Scott Walker." My friend said Walker was the moral equivalent of the other two. Yes, he's saying that a Republican governor is the moral equivalent of two sexually deviant necrophiliac murderers.
I guess it would be too juvenile to list some serial killers from Ohio. And Dahmer's disturbing behavior started when he lived in Ohio.
You should post that video in response, the one of the screaming Indiana Jones Nazis that Gregg posted earlier.
One shouldn't judge an issue based on it's most extreme contenders, although it is a matter of interest and consideration. Assuming I am the one being called a "union shill", let me assure you that I am not a shill, I am a union member and what's good for the union is likely good for me. A shill is somebody who is a fake, a real life version of an internet troll, a person who's job is to populate a place or activity for the sole purpose of making it look populated. People who aren't wealthy but constantly endorse policies that favor the wealthy over themselves, they are the real shills. It bothers me that some people refer to a higher tax rate on next year's income for the wealthy as "taking my shit" but they can endorse income and/or benefit cuts for other people even if it requires reneging on a contract.
Interesting. I can't see it in my activity log. FB me a direct link, please. Although I wonder if the woman posting in the thread blocked me, since she accused me of bullying her.
