Biker, thank you for going to the trouble and effort to make this a better forum. I notice that my avatar isn't showing properly. Is that something you are going to take care of or must we upload new avatars?
It looks like animated gifs are enabled. That may be why your avatar isn't showing properly. Allene's icon is showing up as only the first frame. Ditto for mine. p.s. - when I click on your icon, I get the full pic. Same with others.
Software doesn't support animated gifs. Should show in your profile, but they will not animate within the forum itself.
Got it. My previous post should have said "aren't enabled", not "are enabled". Too many Newcastle's last night.
**sigh** I really HATE the permission system with this software. Instead of dinking around with the imported mess, I'm going to redo the entire thing. This means most of you are going to see forums disappear off your list. What I'll have to do is then allow access to specific forums based on your input. So here are the "member only" forums Rick's Place Gin Joint Tranquility Base Traditionally, I had usergroups set up to access these forums and it worked very well. But it's all different now. So what I need to do is start over from scratch and redo how the permissions work. Once I have it done, I'll go in and add each of you into the two forums you desire access to. (All registered members get Rick's Place automatically.) So sing out if you desire access to the Gin Joint and/or Tranquility Base. I'll get to it once I finish up under the hood.
I only had to change my password as the old one was rejected otherwise very nice. Thanks Biker for all the effort and time you put into the forum.
Well good job! Looks professional, finally. God, I am soooo happy this forum is off that horrible software. This is million times better and cleaner.
Seems like Twitter is sending out a bunch of old posts. It just sent out the Facebook Open graph API thread a couple of minutes ago, but that was a Thursday post. Posts do seem to be going out to Twitter more quickly though.
It's going to pull some old stuff due to changes in RSS feeds and how they're handled on the site. Where before, it was just one feed, I had to go in and specify each individual forum as a separate feed. Should settle down after today.
Did anything else change besides the software (DNS Address, host, etc.)? For some reason I can now access GA from behind my company's filters. All the other normal stuff is still blocked.
