Thanks, Biker and Leon, for all your work and expenses. It's great to have GA back again. I actually found out what was wrong with the site on the night of November 10th when I tried to get on. It was too late to e-mail Leon, but I had Biker's e-mail address because he'd recently helped me and another woman with a DNA website we work on. From now on I can just use the Twitter link. Thanks for posting it.
Thank you Tom for what I'm sure must have been a long and tedious job. At least it isn't thankless too! Thank you Leon for wielding a mean whip! SRSLY, thanks to all who contributed to getting the site back up.
Folks please use the above way to keep up to date. Some of you had links to the ga status page and I don't use that at all for a few reasons. Ga on Twitter was more dynamic and easier to keep people in the loop.
I should add the linked site does not require you to subscribe or have anything sent to your phones. Bascially, it just shows each tweet that was sent out over the air.
I second and third everything said by everyone. Gods above I was having serious GA withdrawels. After the third day I found the GA Twitter link so I knew what was going on. Thank you for the hard work to get this place I call my second home back up and going. I missed all of you.
It was painful. Like a cloud of darkness had descended upon me. But I can't even describe how much more productive I was during this forced break than usual. It was incredible.
I have a Twitter account, but I don't have the chance to actually read what comes across it. I'll be sure to add GA to who I'm following.
You guys are all wimps. I missed GA for a day. The next day I found other things to do instead of lollygagging at GA. I'm just an attention whore by heart and that's why I came back now that the lights are on again.
Excellent job! I got tired of looking at 'the site seems not to exist' :augh: Kudos to all involved in getting the site up and going again!
Just thought of something regarding the GA Twitter page. I have not set the account to follow anyone else. It's an outgoing thing only, so if you reply and nothing happens, you know why. Currently, there's an issue under the hood with Twitter and forum posts. Until I get some time to really dig into it and fix/install the required stuff on the server itself, it's not going to work from the forum.
Thanks for true Recovery Act! Computers at multiple locations didn't get out of DNS hell until today. The iPhone could reach the site yesterday afternoon.
I can't access the forum from my office, though I can access just about anthing else on the internet. Is there something about the new server that is causing this?
