We drove through Stockton this week. It doesn't look like a place I'd like to move to.

Nice to know Memphis is #5. No surprise. A good friend of mine runs a news aggregator website here in Memphis. He specifically avoids the violent crime and other "if it bleeds, it leads" news stories. I read it every day, just to reassure myself that there are positive things happening in this city. 80+% of these violent felonies are committed by a very small group of hard-core violent felons. Too bad we just can't shoot them all.
