China slowly is moving into the modern world. They have, for the first time, allowed the Rolling Stones to perform. But they are not quite ready for some of the message. :)

Beijing - The Chinese government has slapped a ban on the Rolling Stones performing four of their best-known songs during their April gigs here.
The ageing rockers have been told they cannot play Brown Sugar, Honky Tonk Woman, Beast of Burden or Let's Spend the Night Together, organisers said.

Nah...it's because the CCP wants to pretend China is a moral country, resistant to all those dirty Western mores.
Of course, in Beijing, government officials can force themselves on their female employees without fear of punishment. Dirty old men are sexing young Chinese ladies oftentimes against their will.

Deprivation. Someone's been BAD. Control of the masses. Ewwww. Yuck.
But, the pretention that they are preserving something ancient and beautiful is a cool idea. One that a geriatric nation cherishes.
Wonder if there will be archives of hentai after the war? The people are trying to break free of something. This is significant. Moreso than freakshows from prostituted women there.
My only problem with the Rolling Stones.. is that they're not a U.S. of A. band. They're international. Westernization be damned! heh IS there a political comment here? or just a moral one?
It's my judgment that China AND Russia hold similar, not completely sympathetic views on westernization...... HOW did the Rolling Stones go over in the USSR? Did they do as well as the Beatles for their time? Someone help me out there....

Hentai isn't Chinese, it's Japanese. And given that hentai is Japanese, chances are pretty good the Chinese aren't going to do much to preserve it. Especially since it's in conflict with what the Ministry of Culture is trying to do with the Stones, which is somehow, through governmental intervention, stop the spread of salacious activities.
And since hentai is centered around depictions of sexual encounters between cartoon characters, that kinda makes is a double no-go in China.

Speaking of Hentai what the hell is IT? The only time I've seen anything is that it was of porn content and some weird weird stuff. Like women with plants and stuff?
