When he was still in the camera's lane, BEFORE he went in to the opposite traffic lane, he should have seen it.

I can see how he wouldn't notice. They're all playing "leap frog". You get so wrapped up in the move, you loose focus on what's further ahead. Like I said.. One less idiot in the gene pool.

He went way over to the other side of the road, maybe expecting another rider to pull out, or maybe because he was going much faster than he realized so the bike went farther than he expected. If they weren't often riding that fast, could be the guy wasn't expecting the car to be going as fast as it was, either.
He also had his left foot out, may have thought he was going into the weeds and been concentrating ongetting out.
