It's not the bikes themselves, but some of the fucking morons that ride them.

Was just coming back from town and a younger guy (early to mid twenties. Easy to tell, no helmet. Not to mention...shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes) on his crotch rocket, in moderately heavy traffic, pulls a fucking wheelie. And held it for about a hundred yards at least.

Fucking idiot. All it would've taken is the car in front of him to brake and he would've been road kill.

Mike, those dipshits don't live long, trust me. He may have been ok in front of you in a week, a month or even 6 months at most, he is a statistic. Don't be angry, feel sorry for them.

P.S. The rest of us SuperSport bikers despise these fuckholes even more than everyone else because THOSE are the bastards that make a bad name for the rest of us (not to mention our insurance rates).

Sorry brother, you know I'm not stereotyping. I had to deal with my sister losing a boyfriend several years ago pulling bullshit crap like I saw today. Dumbass pulled a wheelie, lost control of the bike, hit the curb, flew off the bike, almost completely severed his hand (got caught between the handlebars and the fairing) and the back of his head met up with a tree stump when he landed. His folks turned off life support 3 days later.

I have NO patience for shitheads like that kid.

I work across the street from a Honda/Kawaski dealership - and my office has a big window facing the street. Daily riders gun their engines in front of the dealership and at least twice a week riders do the wheelie thing past the dealership. Ya gotta believe the people in the dealership think they are as dumbass as I do.

You know what is REALLY pathetic about all this? The wheelies are NOT hard to do on a bike. Let me repeat, they are easy as pie to make. The best part is that ALL of the riders know that this is easy so who are they trying to impress with this shit?

I can't recall ever seeing anyone on a cruiser trying it ;)

(sorry bro, had to give you shit lol)

It's much harder on the cruiser and usually guys who ride Cruisers tend to be older, more mature, and value their bikes.

Cruiser riders tend to do different stupid shit.

For instance, my dad for several years organized a charity ride. One year he had to kick two different riders off the ride. One was on a Buell for popping wheelies. He got warned twice, then asked to leave.

The other guy was riding a Harley Ultra Classic with his wife. While we were riding (I was riding in a friend of my dad's 68 Camaro SS convertible, taking pictures), this guy and his wife SWITCHED PLACES on the bike, while doing 45mph. And right in front of Darryl and I in the Camaro. And, they came close to going down too. At the next stop, dad asked them to leave as well.
