I'm talking about my horse. He's a handful and then some to ride. He's skittish and...ummm...rambunctious. I suppose that's what you get when you bring a racehorse home. I know what it takes to get him gentled out, I just don't have the time to work with him that much on a disciplined schedule. And at my age, I don't need to be smacking into the ground from 16.3 hands up in the air.

I'm sending him to A Way With Horses (http://www.awaywithhorses.com/training.htm). Jim just happens to be my farrier and I've seen some of the horses he's turned around. Trust him I do to get this right the first time.

Oh I'm sure they'll break him in no time if they do it for a living. Good idea to not want to be dumped all over creation, yourself. ;)

That'd be a nasty drop, no matter your age. Sounds like a great idea, Coot. :)

Ah, someone else that realizes that they don't bounce as well as they used to! ;)
(That's why I hired a young professional to help me paint my house last year. He took care of everything I couldn't reach with a stepladder.)

Good Luck with the Big Guy's training. :)
