Here's mine (our MC is on the bottom left).

Not knowing the exact atmosphere there as far as the clubs go, I'm a bit surprised at the use of leather and the coloring/style of the patches for the colors there. Elsewhere that would be cause for getting hassled and getting your colors taken by other "organizations".

What do you mean? As in gangs?

Biker

Yeah... Many of the 1% clubs would take one look at those colors and pull them on the spot from the individual wearing them. Unless there were treaties in place, of course. Here's an example of our colors......

Not like that here. For example, SSMC has their logo that looks like this.

No gang colors.

Sorry to say, you could run into issues with certain groups. Most likely the Hells Angels and Banditos.

Really? That's all new to me. Why? I mean what do they care what our logo is? Kinda retarded if you ask me.

LOL.. It may be retarded, but it's something that may crop up at some point in time. Reasoning tends to run along the lines of colors being unique and most 1% clubs don't want anything else out there bearing a resemblance with their colors.

OH! So it's not colors per se, it's that we may be copying another MC's colors?

Yep... And it can be the most trivial thing. Best bet when confronted is to just hand them over.. Although some of us will fight tooth and nail to keep ours. They may get 'em from us, but they'll know they had to work hard for 'em.

Jeez! LOL! It will be on a vest so if they want ours, see ya. Let them try and catch us with their cruisers first. ;)

Just be sure that if you're ready to wear any markings anywhere Leon, that you're ready to fight for those colors. LOL Wearing colors and badges can get messed up if you've had any past or present members who don't know how to show respect. Wearing them and if your club has a reputation for being assholes, you might find yourself in situations if you're advertising openly. ;)

Usually clubs have members go through levels and routines to earn colors and badges. Some just try and be bad assed right from the start, with the flash all across the board, and the die hards think it's phoney looking and pathetic. I've heard all this and the Mountain Men up here and the ones who are die hards and they don't take to colors being worn at certain situations even. My husband's been in a club up here and omg the rules and ropes are crazy with the die hards. Like a funeral, no colors. Ever. You really have to ask around about this stuff by you. Just think with respect and be sure to distance yourself from known assholes. Just one, can mess up a whole club.

Usually if you're riding, you won't have an issue. But don't think your crotch rockets will bail you out. Many custom bikes are running anywhere from 105 to 120 cubic inches and have the ability to match or even beat your bike in the straights.

I was kidding, it's more of if they care about it that much, here you go and see ya. I am about riding first and foremost.

Yep... Pity you're limited to around 4-5 months out of the year..

So true. Was just thinking that. Then again, with the supposed global warming, who knows...

It's April, weather is cool but doable, figure I can ride well in to October, which will make it 7 months.

Sheesh... You folks back East take yourselves way to seriously. Who cares if someone else is wearing a logo. It is a bike club. Seriously this is about as pathetic as a group of TGIF employees beating up an Applebees employee for wearing his uniform.

ROFL... However, I'm not sure I'd say that to the 10 Bandits standing in front of me wanting my colors.

Just did a search on this conversation. All I will say here is that you were dead on.

Except Hells Angels' Worcester Chapter didn't have a problem with NYC club but the Worcester chapter. They didn't appreciate the "MC" in the logo. It's like it's their copyrighted material. It was a 4 hour ordeal but the President of Worcester's chapter was actually very cool about the whole thing.

We will probably change from MC to MFMC or SBMC... Best yet, get rid of the MC altogether in the logo.

See, what Hells Angels didn't understand is that our MC is made up of Military guys, Cops, and even SWAT guy in the Worcester (who-- it feels like anyway-- is known by EVERYONE on the streets). So that took them off the edge and made them a little more easier to reason with.

The rest I will keep for Gin Joint.

It's good that things were able to be ironed out. Have seen all too often where colors were just pulled with no questions asked, and then told why.

Yes, the positive is that we did get it ironed out with the Pres of Worcester chapter. So after we do the change, we shouldn't have any issues.

Biker

Not necessarily... But the fact that you did iron things out with one of the local chapters will put your club in good standing with the organization as a whole. It should smooth the way if you run into other issues with other chapters.
