Charmed the pants off everyone while he was at it and chewed the
microphones! :) It's nice to know that the top dog in the land is every bit as rambunctious as our smaller version. Whenever we take our Penny to the vet, people in the waiting room start to smile. :)

That is awesome; our Beagle Tommy will be proud!

It was pretty cool, no doubt
I was just happy to see the Akita there. But, I'm biased :)

As a proud beagle owner (13-inch variety) I thought it was long overdue.

Can't disagree with you there :)
As a Husky and Akita owner, however, I do tend to cheer for working group dogs ;)

Oh, they're gorgeous dogs. Nothing frou-frou about them either!
Oh, my...I was watching it last night and laughing. Those beagles just make you smile. Although, I must say, I didn't like the markings around this beagles mouth but, hey.. small imperfection for such a cutie. The crowd went wild when they announced it. Congrats for the Beagles! I believe it's the first time in the history of the show that a beagle won best in show!

I didn't see it happen. We were watching a DVD of Gone Baby Gone instead. All I saw was a photo and didn't notice the markings around his mouth. I did notice that Uno, although very cute, wasn't as cute as our Penny. Our beagle is also tri-colored, but she's got more black in her coat. Her face is a lovely brown color that's darker than Uno's, and her eyes have more of a slant to them and will melt your heart. As you can see, I'm horribly biased!

Wholly agreed!
Snoopy would be proud.

Thanks, Michael. I should have taped that show so Penny could watch it with us. She goes on full alert if she hears a dog, cat, or horse on TV. :)

Thank you, thank you! I will show this to my husband too.
Uno's reaction was spectacular. Barking and a bit of the classic Beagle howl.
A great moment for Westminster and dog lovers!
As well you should be! I love beagles. It isn't noticable in the clip. He had some markings right around the mouth that I just thought were distracting but no biggie. Greatest little personality. :)

Greatest little personality. :) Cyd, yes! They are very affectionate little dogs, too, but quite a handful. I don't think we'll ever get her to stop chasing the cat. Peaches seems to want to get chased at times, though. The only one who has total control over Penny around here is Hector, the rooster. Penny is petrified of that rooster and will cower on the ground with her paws over her eyes while Hector jumps up and down on her back and pecks away. We usually have to go out and shoo him off.
