I don't know whether to post this here or in MOAB.

I am being driven mad by people who say they when they should say their.

Case in point on the news this morning this lady was talking about helping people keep their power on and she said

"we need to help people who have trouble paying bills, getting new hookups and those that transfer THEY service"

the word is THEIR not THEY!!!

I've heard that one occasionally, and it grates on me when I do.

Another one I've heard lately, and also grew sick of while watching the show American Chopper is saying "ideal" or "idear" (Paul Sr. on the show uses this) instead of "idea."

Drives me flippin' bonkers.

One that I hate is using "are" for "our". I see it very often. re: "the family is going to are grandmother's for Christmas" I just want to correct it every time! It's OUR!!!

Amblance for ambulance irritates me as well.
