Ok, what planet does Billary live on?

Between this (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071009/ap_po/clinton_retirement_accounts) and universal health care, she'd run this country under if she is elected.

Oh, and she's dropped the $5k per kid idea, apparently.

Every citizen could get a 401(k) retirement account and up to $1,000 in annual matching funds from the government under a plan offered Tuesday by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.

At a cost of $20 billion-$25 billion a year, the plan is Clinton's largest domestic proposal other than her plan for universal health insurance. The New York senator said it would be paid for by taxing estates worth more than $7 million per couple and would help narrow the gap between the rich and those who don't have enough savings for retirement.

At the same time, Clinton said she has given up another idea for a savings incentive — giving every baby born in the United States a $5,000 account to one day pay for college or a first home.

I'm waiting for the "Lollipops and ice-cream for everyone" program. Of course being white and male I'm sure I won't qualify.

Won't be long before she quotes Herbert Hoover.

Take from the rich and give to the poor (and even solid middle class with this plan) is the socialist mindset. So much for her being the "centrist" she, and her supporters, claim she is.

I'm sure this will play really well to her left base, which will get her the nomination, but this won't play well with the rest of America when it comes to the actual Presidential election. Between this and her socialized medicine plan, taxes would have to be increased dramatically, and voters don't like that.

Then why do you still have those idiots in Madison? ;)

Bingo!

I wonder if she will pick Hugo Chavez for VP.

Good points....I shall rephrase:

Most voters, unlike The People's Republic of Madison, don't like increased taxes. ;)

Oh... a 401K... not $401K.

Damn, she had my vote there for a nanosecond.

Ok, that's it.. I'm in. I'm voting for Hillary because I'm going to get a 401K. YAY!
Oh, wait. She doesn't really have the ability to make that decision does she?
Oh, wait. I don't trust that friggin' slug for nothing.

Guess I'll pass. :)

Is anyone running on the "Hillary has a mind that works like a steel trap, with a heart, mouth and vagina to match" ticket? Or with a slogan like "Thalidomide, it worked for Hillary's mom."

Just curious...

Come people, don't tell me anyone here is surprised by this. Heck I've been sporting a sig which has summed it up, for months now.

This country votes Hillary in, they deserve the ass-raping they are going to get. The evidence has been there all along.

And how long would it be before the government found a "reason" to need to tap into these 401K accounts "for the good of the children"? Then the funds would be mixed with the general spending accounts, just like the SS trust fund was, and before you know it, we would have a 401K crisis that would need yet another government mandated solution.

Bread and circuses. :shake:
