Dec. 28 — Even as the Bush administration said Saturday it did not want to play into North Korea’s hand by creating a crisis, the White House prepared to apply economic pressure if Pyongyang didn’t abandon its nuclear weapons program. The move came as the U.N.’s nuclear agency announced its monitors will leave the communist state early next week, expelled by North Korea after it vowed to reactivate a mothballed nuclear research facility.Hmm...not so sure I'd be willing to turn up the heat on the Dear Leader (http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Parliament/8058/), but what else can the US do?
