Actually, I didn't find it that glowing. Chavez's own words, interaction with his people, paint him pretty poorly.

What a show that must have been. Sure the area you grew up, take notes down and see they get what they need, because this is the first time you've known the area you take such pride in from your youth, is suffering in poverty living in shacks and sick? They love him? I believe they do because they fear not to love him would cause them worse. Good intentions strike once again. If any would have thrown rocks at his car, they would have been shot probably. AP'ers won't be shown any of that kind of thing I'm sure.

Well, I wonder what would happen if one would throw rocks at the President of the USA's motorcade, in this day and age?

Ok maybe rocks wasn't a good example my bad, but I was thinking handful of dirt when I said rocks, not actually stones. Let's say someone was merely protesting while he drove by instead or said he sucked and spit on the ground. They'd probably be dead. :)
