And for once, I think Edwards may have a point (http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8RO0BD00&show_article=1).

In regards to what this fundraising lunch is:
Among those scheduled to attend were House members who are backing Clinton and sit on the House Homeland Security Committee, including Reps. Henry Cuellar of Texas, Jane Harman of California, Sheila Jackson-Lee of Texas, James Langevin of Rhode Island and Nita Lowey of New York.

Some of the luncheon chairs and members of the host committee have been lobbyists for a wide range of business interests.

According to the invitation, the luncheon would be followed by "issues breakout sessions." Donors attending the luncheon had to pay $1,000 or $2,300.

Basically, anyone who ponies up $1000 to $2300 can have direct access to the very committee members who could help throw contracts their way.

I'm sure all politicians, including Edwards, have done similar things, but I do agree when he says that this is 'the 'poster child' for what is wrong with Washington".

And this applies to both parties...not just the Democrats.

In response, Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer said, "Increasingly negative attacks against other Democrats aren't going to end the war, deliver universal health care or turn John Edwards' flagging campaign around."

Well that's some response, if you want to call it one. LOL ;)

I'm sure if Edwards and Obama have done the same in the past, it would have been mentioned in response.

There they go with the universal health care again. Clinton knows exactly what to say to lure them in. :shake:

I'd rather listen to Clinton discuss her plans for universal health care than listen to some moron blathering about their opponent's shortcomings.

How about we have a race that's free of personal attacks, slander and smear campaigns, and instead lets every candidate communicate their platform in multiple, clear ways that the most number of voters will be able to understand?

Now that's a country I'd like to live in!

I'd be happy with candidates that tell the truth. It would seem an easy enough request? ;) LOL

What a great, straightforward, simple, idea!
Why the hell hasn't anyone else thought of it, all these many decades?

I'm with you Steve, 100%!
So, what have we got to do to get this implemented?
What's the plan?
Where do we start?
How can I help?

Regards, ;)

I spit up my morning tea all over my keyboard when I read that one. Thanks a lot, Steve. Please forward a check for new keyboard.

I too would love to help with that plan. But I fear the only solution is outlined in my signature below....
