Is anyone other than me just dismayed about all this "Obama girl" crap and "debates" on YouTube? "Rock the Vote" on MTV didn't amount to much more than fluff but at least it was harmless. This stuff, these days, though? Genuinely degrading, imo.

I think the YouTube debates are great, the Obama Girl crap and its imitators however are horrid. It's a symptom of all the primary electioneering starting too early, and people looking for different angles on the same old.

It's going to get worse, much worse and, while the YouTube debates currently have some semblance of respectability I can guarantee that vox populi isn't necessarily the best thing for governing a nation.

If it gives the voters pause, then I'm all for it.
The voters of this nation REALLY have to move beyond political retoric, sound bytes, and feely good nonsense when concidering their next LEADER of the USofA.
Black man = Yea!
Woman = Yea!
Bullshit, that's NOT a good enough reason!
We need a leader.
So, I think ANYTHING that derails this year-in-advance political party nonsense can't be all bad, eh?

That's my point, it won't derail anything. Right this moment, there are thousands of potential voters forming their opinions based on the size of Obama-girl's hooters.

Wasn't there a Truman Girl?

Maybe. But she'd be about 123 by now, and there's only 3 other guys in the country that would vote for her hooters....besides you :rofl: Sorry, dude, I couldn't resist that one :)
Never heard of Truman girl, before?

Sadly enough sex sells (whether the product is good or not, sex will get it noticed more then just if a product was shown by itself), and the big business now is ipods and iphones and other pocket video viewers and web phones/devices. What better way then to have some pretty hooters speaking to voters this way? It's a pretty sad world we live in if you ask me. Easy enough for the candidates to remove themselves from the videos if anyone lays any blame. All they have to do is say they had nothing to do with it. This kind of shit will only get worse unless the people stand up and make it stop, and they aren't.
Maybe one day we'll have a new requirement for the elections. That the candidates wear paper bags and voice changers so we don't judge them by their looks or sex or race, but what they stand for.
I'm so disgusted with the world today and all this political/terrorism/war bullshit. This is just one more reason to justify my disgust. :shake:
