This is just bad, very bad. Yes, some will agree with this but this is no way to conduct or project foreign policies.

It was a joke. My god man, can't anyone joke anymore.
Yesterday the Senate Majority Leader said America has lost the war. Done deal, we lost. That's a nice thing for our soldiers who are waking up today to hear while they pull on their boots and prepare to head out on patrol. And as usual people are focusing on a joke McCain made.
"Please, I was talking to some of my old veterans friends," he told reporters. "My response is, Lighten up and get a life."
When reporters asked if the joke was insensitive, McCain said: "Insensitive to what? The Iranians?" (http://www.wcsh6.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=58270)

Same joke as Kerry's "dumb troops" joke I guess. Because, hey, it has the same type of excuse.
Frankly, and speaking strictly at a personal level I wish the guy would just drop out of the race. First and foremost he has ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE to get the nomination. None. Zero, nada. Bet my life on it.
Secondarily I am fed up with his fickleness. He can't make up his mind what he believes what he supports what he wants either politically or personally and ah heck I will just stop there.
We all heard of the fog of war. He is one example of the fog of politics and campaigns.
ADDENDUM: Also it is not like he is a young and upcomer just building now for the future of his political career and ambitions.
