What joke?
It took Franco forever to die, and his "imminent" death was mentioned on network newscasts for weeks.
After he died, which he had the good taste to do during Saturday Night Live's first season, Chevy Chase would announce on Weekend Update "This just in, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead."
