Traffic & Vehicle Safety Laws

I am doing research on Vehicle and Traffic Safety in South America, Central America and the Carribean. I am looking for help in finding information about the laws and regulations in the Latin American regions. I have been to the WHO and PAHO sites and some individual countries sites.

The info I am researching includes items related to vehicle safety regulations such as seat belt requirements, child car seat requirements, passive restraints, daytime running lights, tire requirements, inspections, and other vehicle regulations, etc...

Traffic regulations I am looking for include mandatory seat belt use, mandatory child car seat or seating location, mandatory helmet use, speed limits, alcohol limits, cell phone use, etc.

Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.

You aren't going to find all those requirements on just one site. As an example, most of what you're looking for is mandated at the state level here in the US.

Your best bet is some pretty narrow search parameters using Google. Keep in mind, too, that there are many Google sites developed specifically for foreign countries. Good luck.
