Here at work, Verizon ADSL 7.1Mbps/768Kbps with a Covad SDSL at 768/768 static IP for VPN and backup Internet access.

At home? Crappy 56k dial-up. No broadband except satellite is availabe :(

Piece-o-Crap Ameritech. They pulled my copper from the DSLAM when I cancled my phone. That was illegal as they had a contract with Covad to let me use their lines. They said they would wait 6 weeks to process any Covad order but I could be back online in two weeks with them at twice the speed. They capped me at half was I used to get.
So now I am on line with crap. Roadrunner bypassed my street by accident and promises to come back and get it within two weeks.

Verizon Online 1.5/384 DSL that currently supports a network consisting of 3 desktops and 2 notebooks running Microsoft Windows Windows 2K Pro, XP Pro or various Linux distros. The network sits behind a Zyxel Zywall 10II router/firewall which is ICSA ceritfied. One nice thing about being in an ex-GTE area is I get to use DHCP instead of PPPoE and if my service goes down I can talk directly with VADI instead of having to go through VOL.

ADSL capped at 768/128. Have been synching lately in the mid 600's. Can't complain -- I'm grandfathered at 20K feet from the C.O. -- DSL is not available at that distance. According to the router's logs, I lose synch about every other day on average. Cayman usually re-links in under 2 minutes.

I have had roadrunner now for about two months and i am very happy with it. before that I had dsl through prodigy/covad. downloads were only about 400 kps and upload was almost non-existent. then prodigy became SBC yahoo and I said I'm outta here.

BellSouth - 1500/256 - Cayman Modem/Router - SMC switch - 4 computers hooked up usually. Have an SMC router and Alcatel Modem I replaced when I got a chance to use a Cayman for free.

Excellent service - Cox is available at 3000/256 but are down a lot a few miles away with my Mom so I just stick with BellSouth.

Alltel (which just bought out Verizon in KY), 1.5/128, rock solid so far.

I hate to rain on your parade Scott but it appears OOL is experimenting with caps.

If you visit the form at BBR the place is abuzz with the topic.

I readily admit I envy the service levels provided presently by OOL but cannot envision them being able to maintain such high service levels forever.

I'm on Comcast running at 1500/128 and am lucky enough to be in a stable area and I am indeed fortunate consdering some of the horror stories coming out of MD for example.
