LAT (http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/front/la-na-wilma24oct24,1,85494,print.story?coll=la-headlines-frontpage) has news that Americans with a good credit (http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-subprime24oct24,0,1569431.story?coll=la-home-headlines) rating frequently get stuck with "sub-prime loans" instead of the traditional loans that are cheaper. According to Freddie Mac, more than 20 percent of people who received these expensive loans could have gotten a better deal, but they simply failed to ask the right questions or went to the wrong lender.

That doesn't surprise me at all. After all, how many American's just take the credit card offered by a store without even understanding what the terms are? Far too many I'm sure.

We are a lazy bunch, yet love to bitch and moan after the fact.
