Korean companies are investing abroad, including the US, and that's a sign of a developed economy. (http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/10/19/business/won.php) Which is good - just consider the difference in Asia between now and the end of the Korean war, and you would be grateful for the progress Asians have made.

I think it's more a sign of developed companies seeking to expand their portfolios and place some of their monies in places less volatile than Asia as opposed to it indicating that the Korean economy as a whole is a developed one. Right?
